Every fall, high school students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades are invited to enter the Bennington College Young Writers Awards contest. This mailing goes out to high school guidance counselors all over the country and includes a letter from our Admissions office as well as this 11×17 poster for the counselors to hang in their schools.

This package is sent to prospective students and high school guidance counselors and we wanted to find an interesting way to give prospective students a view of life at Bennington College. What better way to do that than featuring images from our student run Instagram account.

One of my favorite things about working in higher education is getting to design brand-marks for campus events. It can be a tricky task to create a unique “logo” while staying within the institutional brand but it’s a challenge I really enjoy. Here is a selection of some of my favorites.
